I'd like to have a deck that resonates with me completely, but I'm wondering, how would I find this? Are there websites for this? Certain types of stores accessible in a generic suburb? I've searched and have not had much luck.

I love The Wild Unknown tarot deck. I might present it one of these days - I saw different interview - spreads that are used for presenting decks and I would love to try one of them. Anyway, the imagery is simple and powerful and the minimalist color choices help in making interesting associations between cards in a spread.
Then there is this site where you can see a lot of different decks and then order them on Amazon :

I have to say I never bought anything from them so I can't really recommend them.
What I do recommend is to first try a tarot app before investing in the deck - if it's possible.
The best app I know is The Fool's Dog :

It's free, but you only have access to some of the cards of each of the presented decks. You can draw your daily card or do different spreads but you will just get some cards from different decks all mixed together. (so you will have The Fool from one deck, the Magician from another, the High Priestess from another etc)
The good thing is you can check all these decks in greater detail, so you can see which ones you prefer and after that you can get a separate app for each deck you like for 3$ or something like this. And after you have the separate app, you can truly test it and determine for sure if you would like to have the deck in physical form too. Right now I have the Ostara Tarot and the Tarot of the Hidden Realm apps, but I don't think I will buy the physical decks. They are both gorgeous though :

I also love it ! I am thinking of buying it as a Christmas present for myself ! It must be awesome, because The Wild Unknown is amazing and it was made by them too.
