my criteria are as follows. I am unable to view you as an equal if you
1) don't have any sense of personal accountability
2) have zero sense of personal dignity
3) can't muster at least a little bit of self-esteem (you can literally choose whatever self-esteem you want. I don't get why most people don't just do this...)
4) have no desire for real self-improvement. whimsical "finding yourself" bullshit doesn't count. it has to be something hard, something where you face down reality and run the risk of failure.
5) are unable to face any sort of rejection
6) don't understand respect
7) have no conviction/backbone
8) are an over-dramatic zealot who can't think in terms of any sort of nuance or realistic, real-world application
9) have no emotional regulation "but mental health issues!" is not an excuse. do better)
Plenty of people who have been poor, ugly, sub-100 IQ and/or disabled have passed my equality test with flying colors. When it comes to viewing someone as an equal, I couldn't give less of a shit about the person's abilities or life circumstances.Last edited by BalalaikaBoy; 11-19-2021, 06:19 AM.
