Mask Mandates are Ineffective & Unhealthy. Several Articles & Studies

In this thread, I'll post evidence I've collected over the years, which shows that masks are not only ineffective in preventing the spread of covid, but also, have bad effects on people's health. These articles also show that lockdowns have been ineffective, but that point is secondary to the point being made about masks.

While I have also collected mounds of evidence that the vaccine is dangerous and has bad effects on people, but that will be detailed in another post. The link is here for now, though I have not collected the evidence in one place yet. I'll do that soon.
    https://archetribe.com/forum/world/current-events-history-politics-aa/11977-is-the-vax-effective-what-are-the-dangers-several-links

Now, back to masks, with occasional references to lockdowns.

I'll start with a clinical trial which proves that masks are dangerous for children.

"This leads in turn to impairments attributable to hypercapnia. A recent review concluded that there was ample evidence for adverse effects of wearing such masks. We suggest that decision-makers weigh the hard evidence produced by these experimental measurements accordingly, which suggest that children should not be forced to wear face masks."

Hypercapnia: excessive carbon dioxide in the bloodstream, typically caused by inadequate respiration.

Note: If you read only one article out of all of these, I highly recommend this one. It is written by someone who has studied viruses and masks. This is his field of expertise.

Doctors Warn: Potential Long Term Side Effects of Mask Wearing Include Shortness of Breath, a Weakened Immune System and Chronic Respiratory Conditions

    by Nick Meyer | February 12, 2021

Bill Gates stated could harm at least 700,000 people; watch the CNBC video at the 3:00 mark to see why he says he needs legal protection from countries to roll out these fast-tracked vaccines) has been repeated often.

Recently, the focused has shifted to masks: are they really the key to keeping the coronavirus at bay, or are they not as necessary as some state and local governments are making them out to be?

Adding to the confusion, the WHO has said that masks should only be worn by healthy people when taking care of people suffering from coronavirus symptoms and that it may actually make the course of the disease even stronger (full CNBC article here).

While it is common sense that a mask may prevent the transmission of germs and viruses, it is also well worth knowing the potential side effects of wearing them for long hours as well.

Potential Side Effects of Long Term Mask Wearing

The potential side effects include the following according to several doctors quoted by MSN.com:

    1. Shortness of Breath and Lightheadedness:2. Headaches:3. Dermatitis:4. A Weakened Immune System:5. Development of Skin Wrinkles:6. Chronic Respiratory Conditions:

It may sound too bizarre to be true, but long-term wearing of face masks may actually trigger symptoms similar to the diseasepotentially leading to the development of serious respiratory issuesNew Jersey Man Crashes Car Into a Pole, Excessive Mask Wearing Believed to Be a Factor

Photo via Lincoln Park Police Department.

This past April, a Lincoln Park, New Jersey man passed out and crashed his car into a pole. His long-term wearing of an N95 mask was believed to be a contributing factor to him losing consciousness according to police, as reported

While many experts continue to recommend or even mandate wearing masks to protect against the virus, wearing masks for too long comes with its own set of risks, as do lockdowns, and even vaccines, as Gates admitted to CNBC recently noting that he would need legal protection for compensating the hundreds of thousands of people who may be harmed (see CNBC video here).

Regardless of whether or not you think masks are necessary, everybody deserves to know the risks now, rather than five, ten, or fifteen years later as is often the case with so many medical and pharmaceutical-based products.

The Risks vs. Benefits of Face Masks- Is There an Agenda?

      By
      Dr. Alan Palmer

Proponents of face masks use the following arguments:

2 (greater than 0.3 micrometers or microns squared), whereas standard face masks may block 50-70% of particles depending on the mask. (http://medcraveonline.com/JLPRR/JLPRR-01-00021.pdf)

If healthy people wear face masks, they will be protected from those that may be infected- The counterpoint in the next section will make the argument against that logic.

If you wear a mask, you are less likely to touch your nose, mouth or eyes, which is where the vast majority of infections begin- Some claim this to be true, but an argument can be made that people handle their mask frequently when adjusting them on their face and to remove them and put them on. All this touching of the mask raises the potential that viral transmission to the mask can then transfer to the nasal and oral cavities. Recent video of the Coronavirus Task Force news conferences has underscored this, as Dr Fauci and others from the task force are seen frequently fiddling with their masks in the background.

Face masks should not be worn by healthy individuals to protect themselves from acquiring respiratory infection because there is no evidence to suggest that face masks worn by healthy individuals are effective in preventing people from becoming ill.

Detractors from the regular use of face masks cite the following:

Face masks do not protect the wearer from transmission by others-
      • The American Medical Association just released a position paper on masks:
Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA); April 21, 2020 Volume 323, Number 15 https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jam...rticle/2762694)

Face masks restrict the elimination of virus, recirculating the virus into the nasal/sinus and upper respiratory passages-
      1. Baig AM et al. Evidence of the COVID-19 virus targeting the CNS: Tissue distribution, host-virus interaction, and proposed neurotropic mechanisms. ACS Chem Neurosci 2020;11:7:995-998.
      2. Wu Y et al. Nervous system involvement after infection with COVID-19 and other coronaviruses. Brain Behavior, and Immunity.
      3. Perlman S et al. Spread of a neurotropic murine coronavirus into the CNS via the trigeminal and olfactory nerves. Virology 1989;170:556-560.

Wearing a face can cause headaches and reduce oxygen levels- . And proper oxygenation of the blood is essential for energy, mental clarity, focus and emotional well-being. (Ong JJY et al. Headaches associated with personal protective equipment- A cross sectional study among frontline healthcare workers during COVID-19. Headache 2020;60(5):864-877.)

Wearing a face mask causes one to re-breath the carbon dioxide (CO2), that the lungs are attempting to expel- This in turn reduces the immune response, negatively affects epithelial cell function (cells in the lungs and blood vessels) and lowers the amount of oxygen exchange across the alveolar membranes. From the article:

This clearly can have a negative impact with a disease like COVID-19. (https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-018-32008-x.pdf)

Wearing a face mask can increase your risk of infections- The last point discussed the drop of oxygen levels after wearing a mask. A drop in oxygen levels (hypoxia), is associated with an impairment in immunity. Studies have shown that hypoxia can inhibit the type of main immune cells used to fight viral infections called the CD4+ T-lymphocyte. This occurs because the hypoxia increases the level of a compound called hypoxia inducible factor-1 (HIF-1), which inhibits T-lymphocytes and stimulates a powerful immune inhibitor cell called the T-regs. This sets the stage for contracting any infection, including COVID-19 and making the consequences of that infection much graver. In essence, your mask may very well put you at an increased risk of infections and if so, having a much worse outcome. In addition, reduced oxygenation can accelerate cancer growth. (1. Shehade H et al. Cutting edge: Hypoxia-Inducible Factor-1 negatively regulates Th1 function. J Immunol 2015;195:1372-1376. 2. Westendorf AM et al. Hypoxia enhances immunosuppression by inhibiting CD4+ effector T cell function and promoting Treg activity. Cell Physiol Biochem 2017;41:1271-84. 3. Sceneay J et al. Hypoxia-driven immunosuppression contributes to the premetastatic niche. Oncoimmunology 2013;2:1 e22355.)

There is no doubt that wearing a mask reinforces the worry and fear about COVID-19. Even being in public mask-less and seeing that most people are wearing masks leaves one with a sense of angst. Fear, worry and anxiety are powerful immune suppressing emotions. This is another factor relating to the immunosuppressive effects of face masks. This is a link to a section of a 2007 book titled, Cytokines: Stress and ImmunityWorried to Death? Worry, and Immune Dysregulation in Health and HIV. Interestingly, HIV is a viral infection as is SARS-C0V-2 (COVID-19).
What are some government agencies saying?

On April 27, 2020, the Ventura County California Public Health Department released a Pros and Cons one-sheet summary about face masks (link at end of this section). One thing they warn against is the general public buying and using N-95 masks, because of the shortage of PPE for medical personnel. This is very wise advice. (https://www.simivalley.org/home/showdocument?id=22324)

It also cites some other limited benefits of preventing transmission, pretty well characterized by this quote:

Altogether, common fabric cloth masks are not considered protective against respiratory viruses and their use should not be encouraged. But what else does it say?
      • With near universal use of cloth and medical masks worn in public in Wuhan, China during the 2019-2020 flu season leading up to the COVID-19 outbreak, the outbreak spread virtually unchecked.

In total, the document presented 18 arguments and studies against the effectiveness and use of masks and 10 showing some limited benefit. After careful scrutiny of the pros and cons, I am landing squarely against the use of them other than by medical personnel in a clinical setting, or if an individual that is in close proximity of an infected person with the risk of being directly coughed or sneezed on, as in when caring for or visiting a sick person. Masks Lead to Under-Oxygenation, a Forerunner to Fatigue, Weakness and Serious Diseases Like Cancer

It is a commonsense scientific fact that wearing a mask blocks your airways and therefore leads to both hypercapnia (an increase in and accumulation of carbon dioxide in the body from breathing in exhaled air) and hypoxia (a lack of oxygen in the tissues). Symptoms of hypercapnia include dizziness, drowsiness, excessive fatigue, headaches, feeling disoriented, flushing of the skin and shortness of breath. Symptoms of hypoxia include anxiety, restlessness, confusion, changes in the color of skin, cough, rapid breathing, shortness of breath and sweating. Not surprisingly, both conditions are similar, since they are both characterized by a lack of oxygen. In addition, hypoxia has been shown to lead to impaired immunity in general, and to be a forerunner to serious diseases such as atherosclerosis, stroke and heart attack. It is also the necessary precondition for the development of cancer (as I covered in my series on natural cancer cures). Dr. Russell Blaylock highlights how wearing a mask is actually putting you at more risk of infection, because you are lowering your overall health, strength and immunity by under-oxygenation:

This document from the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) openly admits there is little evidence that, if you are well or healthy, wearing a mask will somehow protect you. This flies in the face of the propaganda going around that since the only point (if you are not someone like a surgeon) is for already sick people to wear them to block the escape of large respiratory droplets. It is standard medical practice that masks are worn by the infected not the uninfected (as in the case when someone has TB), just as it is standard medical practice that quarantine is for the sick or immuno-compromised not the whole infected community. The definition of quarantine is so, ipso facto, the lockdown of an entire society is not quarantine but outright tyranny. Remember, Operation Coronavirusstates:
Harboring Bacteria and Viruses9article quotes some Indian doctors:
he said. said Dr KK Aggarwal, president of the Indian Medical Association.
Operation Coronavirus is: a psychological game of perception management.

The surgical mask is a bad fit for risk reductionstates:

Final Thoughtsmanmade climate change hoaxmass conditioning. The degree to which healthy people willingly endorse and obey mask-wearing orders is directly proportional to their level of ignorance and fear. No interventions such as masks or vaccines can come close to the importance of living healthfully and developing your inner terraintrue nature of viruses, the immune system, health and disease.

4 Potential Consequences of Wearing Face Masks

Are there serious unintended consequences of recommending the widespread use of face masks by members of the public?

              by Olga Perski David Simons
If healthcare workers wear surgical masks, there is good evidence that it limits the spread of respiratory viral infections in hospitals. But there is no clear evidencepicture is even murkier.

Surgical masks are made up of several layers of non-woven plastic and can effectively filter very small particles, such as droplets of SARS-CoV-2block some of the large droplets exhaled by the wearer, hence protecting others from viral exposure. But their ability to filter droplets depends on their construction. Multi-layered cloth masks are better at filtering but harder to breathe through. And they become wetter quicker than single-layer masks.

The question we need to ask is not so much whether cloth masks offer as good a protection as surgical masks (we know thatThe big fourPeltzman effect suggests that introducing one safety measure, such as car seatbelts, may lead to other, compensatory risk behaviours, such as speeding. (If you perceive that your car is safer than usual, you might compensate for this by driving faster.) In the context of COVID-19, it has been argued that the wearing of a mask may make people feel safer, and hence minimise otherworse hand hygienereported variable adherencemore severe a disease seems and the more susceptible people feel, the more likely they are to protect themselves during a pandemic. Given the high number of global infections and deaths, people may display greater than typical levels of adherence to mask-wearing during the pandemic.

Third, masks may act as an extra transmission route or prompt other behaviour that transmits the virus, such as regular face touching. To stop masks being turned into alternative transmission routes, they need to be safely put on and taken off.

People touch their faces 15-23 times per houreyes, nose and mouthto other surfaces, such as door handles, railings or tables.

Fourth, UK researchers have calculated that if the entire UK population started using disposable masks daily, it would create a significant environmental hazard, namely 42,000 tonnes of potentially contaminated and unrecyclable plastic waste per year.

Also, most people will have noticed the increased littering of masks in community spaces, which may act as environmental and infection hazards. Reusable rather than disposable masks are therefore preferable.

The natural perceptive abilities, i.e. the physical senses, of human beings are quite poor. For example, we can see only a very, very small part of the electromagnetic spectrum, illustrated as follows:
The Virus: What are we dealing with?-9 meter (0.000000001 meter), a micron (?m) is 10-6 meter (0.000001 meter). The meter is about 10% longer than a yard, or 39.37 inches so 1 micron is 0.00003937 inch.

I have created the following scale for a reference point using font sizes, and I hope that the fonts are reasonably accurate. Note that our eyes cannot see 5 micron, so this is enhanced.

Before going into that question, I want to provide both some personal background and maybe a little comic relief.

The photo below was taken about 30 years ago, and yes, that is me. I was being fit tested for my own respirator. In my first position after the Ph.D., I was given charge of developing a molecule that was so lethal (yes, it is used medicinally but in very dilute solutions and under strict controls) that even the tiniest of amount contacting my skin, nose, eyes, etc., could knock me out and kill without my ever knowing it; the risks I faced were far greater than any coronavirus. I had to undergo serious Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) training as a result. When your life hangs in the balance, you learn all that you can. I was also a member of an isolator design team to develop a manufacturing unit to contain the production process.
                      many
                      1. FILTERS, not barriers. They FILTER only the things that they are designed to filternormal breathing patterns, not exertive force (although the Surgical mask has a pressure rating). This is an important point!
                      2. NOT designed to filter infectious agents but rather inert particulates (except the Surgical mask which is intended to preserve a sterile/sanitary operating field).
                      3. Designed for minimal usage time. They are NOT intended to be stuck on your face for hours.

I understand the psychological crutch that people feel with something covering their mouth/nose. I am sorry, but that is a false sense of security. Perception is NOT reality, just like the neutrino. The mind says that you have some solid thing covering your mouth and nose but that is not really the case, it is porous; things get through (or go around)..

I could spend time on the viral transmission ineffectiveness of the variety of face coverings and fitted masks based upon the material, pore size, non-fit, etc., as well as the studies. I will say that there has been only ONE type of mask, the SURGICAL mask, which has shown any ability to reduce, not eliminate, virus transmission because it is actually rated to a 100 nanometer pore size AND it is rated for ingress and egress. But, the SURGICAL mask is not intended for use outside of a controlled, sterile hospital surgical field where its use and function can be controlled. It has limitations.

In Part III above, the expulsion of the virus into the environment was examined. So, what happens if a person wears a mask/face covering? There are two different views of how the mask operates depending on whether it is ingress (protecting the wearer) or egress (protecting the environment). But, both add up to more or less the same thing.

First, what happens on EGRESS. We will look at droplets because most face coverings will not stop an aerosol and the 2020 propaganda has been focused on droplets.

Assuming that a person is shedding virus and they produce droplets that contain hitchhiking virus, and assuming the face covering actually stops ALL droplets (best-case scenario), the following molecular pathway will likely occur:
I think that people can see how truly complex and difficult it is to deal with a nanoparticle. It is something too complex for modeling, at least on the environmental scale. It should be clear that humans are only a small part of the equation.

Stopping humans from being human will not stop the virus from being a virus!
