I didn't know about it but I'm not surprised in the least. I've been saying for years that NY is extremely racist. The roads are all twisted up and the taxes and living arrangements are inhumane. Anyone that knows me, knows my views on New York, but I don't even know where to begin with how horrible I think it is. I lived there for 5 years and I've lived nearby for most of my life. My town is a lot better, but when I go to other places I am so charmed by how humane people are. People in NY can often be snobby and never leave the central city. If they live in Manhattan they won't even go to Brooklyn. But they genuinely believe that they know 'the real world' and everyone else lives in the backcountry sticks which are obviously inferior. The only people whose lives are 'real' to them are their own. So when you try to tell them "this is not how things are" they always know better. Hence the horrific abuse just gets perpetuated.

Damn that's crazy. I never knew about that, although I'm 100% not surprised. A type 8 maybe?
The day is done, and the darkness

Falls from the wings of Night,

As a feather is wafted downward

From an eagle in his flight.

I see the lights of the village

Gleam through the rain and the mist,

And a feeling of sadness comes o'er me

      That my soul cannot resist:

A feeling of sadness and longing,

That is not akin to pain,

      And resembles sorrow only

As the mist resembles the rain.

Where do you feel more claustrophobic? Under skyscrapers block after block? Or somewhere else? Personally, cities like this make me feel like death.

I've heard the name, but didn't know it was that crazy. Doesn't surprise me in the slightest though.
