    Thoughts On Pornography?

    I've been following INSIDE FLESH (IF) since 2011. By the way, this is not a promotion of their work and website but rather a platform for my very brief thoughts on art and pornography. I've never been one to be fascinated with most porn, maybe because it's not catered towards me by way of my gender and personal taste. That's not to say that I don't occasionally get turned on by porn, but once the arousal wears off the fascination is gone. Out of sight, out of mind. However, IF has managed to keep my interest for the past 8 years. I'm not even sexually aroused by their work but more impressed with their vision and beautiful mixture of fashion, art, and pornography. A vision of pornography that spans beyond conventional market forces and one that compels you stop and wonder. The type of porn that actually pushes boundaries of what porn is and what it can accomplish. But I want to open up the discussion: what are your thoughts on porn?

      IDK why but I've always been grossed out by pornography.

        In all seriousness, though, IF goes beyond pornography. Porn in general has a a very basic purpose: sexual arousal. The stuff you posted is much more than that, however. It speaks to one's soul. It is art in its most purest form. "So carnal it's spiritual" - as Animal would say

          Mm, that is the purpose of porn... I like things that can be both sexually arousing as well as arousing in other ways though

        Atelier My biggest problem with it is I always can't help wondering how many of the people involved are being coerced somehow or are just involved because they're in poverty Even for people who are going into it willingly I know it's often not the best work environment. There is just a lot of predators who are obviously going to end up in those environments.

          So I used to be obsessed with fanfic, of the pornographic/erotic kind. Mostly gay stuff, as the heterosexual stuff is so off-putting to me. I was just thinking about this, why is all depiction of heterosexual sex so disgusting? Lmao.

          Well, it makes some sense that I wouldn't find vaginas appealing to read about (or look at), as I'm not sexually attracted to females. Another aspect is how with depictions of heterosexual sex, the woman always ends up being submissive, which gets boring... unless it's femdom, but that stuff is often unerotic and weird. With a gay dynamic, it feels more fluid and exciting.

          Although I realize the gay porn I like to read is also very romanticized (especially as I'm not a gay guy myself), which is depressing. Like something is either not real, or it's very unsexy.

            I'm not morally opposed, but I do advise it for people with addictive personalities. the dose makes the poison if you will.
