    The music video seems interesting...

Not the most profound lyrics, but there's still a powerfulness to Ashnikko's voice that I like and I appreciate the 'Die Antwoord'-like part that Grimes did.

I've loved Les Mis since I was a child - but I was more moved by the unrequited love songs back then. Now, after going through hell and losing some of my friends I understand this song so much.. it breaks my heart. I just cried my eyes out =,(
His voice is so much more powerful than anyone else playing this role, too!

'entirely sung by Wolfgang Mozart' amused me as I interpreted it as the performer
This is cool though...it's gotta be done by the same guy who did Rebecca (it is, just checked)

yeah that's impressive they managed to get Wolfgang Mozart himself to perform
tbh I have yet to listen to the whole play, I just love this song lmao

            Veela's still going strong.

I like the cryptic video clip and I like the song, but honestly I was a bit disappointed that the singing was kept low-key, I would've loved it if the singing was a bit more powerful and extreme at some points, it would've added a dynamic that is present in the cinematography here, but not in the song, but still... it's not bad, not at all.

              Fair

I liked it mostly for the heavy bass and syncopation, but I do appreciate strong vocals too.

Not really related, but I'm reminded of this song (in Portuguese), gives me walking among people vibes

Oh, I really like this song! And it's perfect for the kind of seaside/walking around people/etc playlist I'm trying to build now, thanks))
but it's also driving me crazy because I definitely know a song with an almost identical melody, at least on the 'a Julia florista' part, possible that I just know this song since I used to listen to Amalia Rodriguez a bit, but I think it was a Russian song and that bit started 'a ya...' + something I can't remember and it's going to bug me until I figure it out

                    The mermaid/selkie
It seems that you've faded and lost your good spirits
The snow is piled on the edge of the shore
Your long yellow hair and your quiet little mouth
They are giving Mary Kinney to swim in the Erne

My dear mother, says Fair Maire
On the brink of the shore, on the mouth of the sea
                    A mermaid, my proud mother
They are giving Mary Kinney to swim in the Erne

I am tired and it will soon be day
My Bright Maire and my Fair Patrick!
On top of the waves and at the edge of the shore
They are giving Mary Kinney to swim in the Erne

(rough translation, you get the idea, she is a mermaid or a selkie and saying goodbye to her human family to return to the waters, I like imagining it like she's remembering saying goodbye - like for some reason the part when they say her name is really affecting, I guess I imagine that as a selkie she isn't called Mary Kinney, that's her name just for her family and when she goes to the sea she isn't Mary Kinney anymore - or also like she's actually dead and this is how people imagined it)

edit: ^this song is not actually an amazing listening experience so try this one instead, obsessed with this girl's voice
